A slot is a small narrow opening or groove in something. A slot in a door can let in light or air. A slot in a piece of furniture can be used to store or display items. A slot is also a term for an area on the machine that can accept coins or paper tickets with barcodes.
A pay table is the list of payouts on a slot or video poker machine. It shows for each combination of symbols and coin values how many credits the bettor will receive. The pay table is usually displayed above and below the wheel on older machines, or when you press a “pay table” button or link on the screen of newer video games. Some slots have ‘wild’ symbols that can pay anywhere, not just on a payline.
A T-slot table is an extension of the work area on a universal testing system that allows you to securely hold components and structures that can’t be held with standard grips during tensile, compression, or flexural tests. Commercially available T-slot nuts are slid into the inverted T-slots on the table and bolted into place.
